Treatment for reduced mobility

This treatment is designed for elderly clients who have lost, or are progressively losing, the ability to stand, walk, and perform activities of daily living independently. The service aims to help prevent and slow physical deterioration and can be particularly beneficial for individuals who spend extended periods of time in bed.

The initial appointment includes both an assessment and treatment session and will last approximately 60 to 70 minutes.

Assessment:
The assessment will include a visual evaluation, assessment of range of movement, goal setting, and an explanation of the proposed treatment plan.

Treatment:
Treatment include manual therapy techniques such as massage and stretching, as well as exercises tailored to the client’s individual needs in order to help maintain as much mobility and activity as possible. 

Clients will also be provided with appropriate exercises and activities to carry out between sessions to support optimal outcomes.

Follow-up Appointments:
Follow-up sessions will focus on treatment as outlined above and will typically last between 50 and 60 minutes.
